Card payments everywhere on the site are handled by Stripe, so we never see or store your card number. Which other methods you are offered depends on what you are paying for.
Test bundles
Buying online access on Test bundles sends you to a secure Stripe page and is paid by card. If you have a code, open Have an adjustment code? beside the buy button before you pay. A code may only work on some purchases, so one made for something else can be refused here.
Enrolling in a class
The last step of the enrolment wizard is Complete payment, and it offers two tiles:
- Card or bank debit, which takes a Visa or Mastercard, or an Australian bank account by direct debit. A card clears straight away; a bank debit takes a few business days to settle.
- PayID bank transfer, which shows you the ABN to pay, the exact amount and a reference to type into your banking app. Your child's spot is held while we confirm the transfer, and the team normally confirms it the same day.
The spot deposit you can pay from a course page to hold a place is card only.
An invoice the team has sent you
An emailed invoice opens on a page that asks How would you like to pay? and offers more options than the wizard does:
- Bank direct debit, which takes your BSB and account number on a secure Stripe page. The place is confirmed straight away and the money clears in 2 to 3 business days.
- PayID, which is instant.
- Bank transfer, which takes a business day or two.
- Cash at the centre, when the invoice has an in-person item on it. It carries a small discount and is paid at the first session. The tile shows you the discounted total before you choose it.
Choose PayID, bank transfer or cash and the account details and reference appear on the next screen, and are emailed to you as well. Use the reference exactly as shown: it is how a transfer is matched to your invoice. An invoice does not take card.
1-on-1 tutoring
A 1-on-1 tutoring session is paid by card at the time of booking, through the same secure Stripe form. One checkout, however many sessions or hours it covers, is one card payment.
Security
Card and bank account numbers are entered on Stripe's own form and are never stored on our servers. There is no saved "payment methods" page on the site; your details are asked for at the moment you pay.
