A test your teacher sets reaches you in one of two ways: a short access code read out in class, or a test attached to one of your class sessions, which turns up on your Classroom page on its own.
With an access code
- Open Classwork in the top menu. The Tests tab is where you land.
- Type the code into Enter Access Code. It is short and not case sensitive.
- Select Find Test.
- A card appears with the course, the test name and how long it runs. Choose Start Test, or Continue Attempt if you had already begun one.
If you have already finished that test, the card offers View Results and Start New Attempt instead. There is more on codes in Accessing a test with an access code.
Tests set for your class
A test attached to a class session needs no code. It appears under that session on your Classroom page, inside the Homework Due panel as the Homework tests step, and again as a chip on the Homework page. Select the test name and a window asks you to confirm before the timer starts, so open it when you are ready and have paper and a pencil to hand. There is one attempt for each of these, and finishing it earns XP.
If the code does not work
- Code not found or not available for your class means the code does not match a test for a course this account is enrolled in. Check the spelling with your teacher.
- The access code provided is incorrect appears at the top of the page if the code was wrong when the test was opened.
- Make sure you are signed in as the student who is enrolled, not a parent account or a sibling.
Where the results go
Every attempt lands in the Results & Review tab on the same page. See Reviewing a classwork result.
