Sign in at /login/. There are two tabs, Email & Password and Student Identity, and both ask a short addition question as a security check before they will let you through.
Email and password
- Stay on the Email & Password tab.
- Enter the email address the account was created with, and the password.
- Answer the Security check sum and choose Log In.
If several children share one inbox through +1 style aliases and they use the same password, typing the plain inbox address is enough: the page then asks Which child are you logging in as? and you pick the name.
Student Identity
Use this when nobody remembers which email address the account uses.
- Choose the Student Identity tab.
- Enter the student's first name, last name, date of birth and postcode, exactly as they were entered at sign-up.
- Answer the security check and choose Log In with Identity.
It only works when those four details match exactly one account, so if two children share a name and a birthday you will need the email and password instead. Staff and teacher accounts cannot use this tab.
If it will not let you in
- No matching student found: a name, the date of birth or the postcode does not match what is on the account. Try the email and password tab, or reset the password.
- Forgotten the password? Choose Forgot password? on the login page and we email you a code.
- Answering the security check wrongly gives you a new sum, so read the new numbers rather than retyping the old answer.
Staying signed in
Signing in keeps you signed in on that browser until the session runs out, after which you simply sign in again. Changing your password signs your other devices out, which is what you want if you suspect somebody else has the password.
