Test Academy prepares primary and upper-primary students in New South Wales for the Opportunity Class test, the Selective High School placement test and NAPLAN. Families use it in three ways, on their own or together: term classes, 1-on-1 tutoring sessions, and the online practice test platform.
Term classes
Weekly classes run in person at our Parramatta centre and live online on Google Meet. A class follows a term program with timed practice papers, teacher-led breakdowns, a printed booklet and homework between sessions. Families enrol through the enrolment wizard, and a free trial class is available before committing. See Overview of classes and Booking a free trial class.
1-on-1 tutoring
1-on-1 Private Tutoring pairs a student with one tutor for a session built around them, in person at Parramatta or online, booked session by session around your own timetable. It suits families who want targeted help rather than a fixed weekly class. See How 1-on-1 tutoring works.
The online platform
Every account gets a dashboard. With a test bundle it unlocks timed practice tests with automatic marking and explanations, the Performance page, LearningHub skill practice, WritingHub and Testy, the AI coach that answers questions and explains test questions. Class students get the classroom pages as well: sessions, classwork, homework and the booklet. See What are test bundles and A tour of the dashboard.
Who it is for
Students from Year 3 to Year 6 preparing for the Opportunity Class and Selective tests, and students sitting NAPLAN in Years 3 and 5. Parents create the account and can use it alongside their child; the sign-up form asks for the student's details and a parent's contact details. See How to create an account.
