Each hour is charged at the tutor's rate. A longer session costs proportionally more, and so does booking more sessions. There is no discount for longer sessions or for booking more of them, and in person and online cost the same.
Whose rate
Each tutor sets a rate for the specialist track (Opportunity Class and Selective) and one for the general track. The student's year level decides which one applies, so the price on a tutor's card and booking page is already the right one.
Where to see the total
The length chips on Times show the price of each length. The bar at the bottom shows the running total. On Pay, Total is the amount charged, and Show breakdown lists the rate times the hours for each session.
Adjustment codes
If our team gave you a code:
- On the Pay step, open Have an adjustment code?.
- Type the code and press Apply.
- The saving appears as its own line and comes off the total. Remove takes it off again.
A code may only work on some purchases. A code made for class enrolments, test bundles or the ACST may not work on tutoring, and a tutoring code may not work elsewhere. If it does not apply, the page says why. Some codes can only be used a limited number of times on one account.
If a code covers the whole total, nothing is left to pay and the button reads Confirm booking.
Receipts
The confirmation page and email show the amount actually paid, and the code if one was used.
